Callens HQ
The expansion of the Callens offices is designed according to the principles of new ways of working, offering a blend of individual workstations, group spaces, relaxation areas, and multipurpose spaces. This flexible concept provides room for both focus and collaboration, with workspaces tailored to the diverse needs of the users. The choice of materials reflects the DNA of Callens, while the functional layout of the spaces is enhanced by the material selections. Each workspace clearly conveys its intended purpose, whether it is for concentration or teamwork.
The building consists of an open ground floor and three upper floors with a sleek flat roof. The facades on the front, left, and right sides feature black aluminum curtain walls with vertical slats, which limit sun exposure while accentuating the vertical lines of the building. These facades tie in with the existing black aluminum window frames of the adjacent office building, creating a harmonious connection between the old and the new.
The rear facade, finished in prefabricated concrete panels, reinforces the industrial character of the site and aesthetically links the new structure with the existing industrial buildings. This contrast between the sleek, modern front and the robust rear gives the building a distinctive visual balance.
The renovation of the circulation core of the existing office building complements this by using black aluminum for the facade, contributing to the visual cohesion of the overall complex.
The landscape design focuses on efficient parking layout and the creation of a pleasant outdoor space that is both functional and visually enhances the quality of the work environment.
